Established by several Vancouver & London insurance brokers, for the purpose of providing ocean marine underwriting capacity to service the needs of British Columbia’s growing forestry industry.
Since that time we have expanded, with offices in the key Canadian shipping centres of Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax, providing leading marine underwriting and claims expertise supported by “A” rated capacity to the Canadian Insurance Market.
Coast became a subsidiary company of RSA Insurance after their acquisition of Coast in January 1997.
We became a subsidiary company of Intact Financial Corporation after their acquisition of Coast in June 2021.
